Jeff Lang - Slip Away Tabulature

Slip Away was originally released on Jeff Lang’s Whatever Makes You Happy and was a song that didn’t grab me until I saw Jeff last year. Then it got stuck in my head and infiltrated my fingers making them want to pick this tune.

So I got to work using Audacity to slow and loop things down a little. The version I’ve used to transcribe is on the bonus CD that accompanied You Have to Dig Deep to Bury Daddy. I’ve just done the intro and the bridge for now. This will get you started on the rest.

Note the slide bit in the intro is pretty free form. I pretty much got the notes but the inflections are up to you. Think of it as a descending E mixolydian slide thang.

The bridge seems to be an B-D-A-C progression with the bass occasionally playing the third.
